摘要
This paper deals with the existence of a silence cone which takes place downstream from an are plasma jet described by the wavelet transform applied to the torch's sound emission recordings. After a description of the dynamical behaviour of the electric are, a model of refraction of the sound rays by the flow velocity gradients at the exit of the torch explaining the silence cone observations is proposed.
