Possible quantum valence criticality in CeCu6-xAux

摘要
CeCu6-xAux is known as a heavy fermion compound that exhibits antiferromagnetism for x greater than or similar to 0.1 and non-Fermi-liquid (NFL) behavior around the critical concentration x(c) approximate to 0.1. Although this material has been studied by means of a lot of experiments, the origin of its NFL is still veiled in mystery. In this study, we examine the magnetic properties of CeCu6-xAux for various values of x (0 <= x <= 0.8), and discuss the possibility that the quantum valence criticality might be responsible for the low-temperature magnetic properties.
