MEC Application Slice and Its collaboration with 5G network slice

摘要
with the development of mobile network and mobile service, especially the vigorous development of vertical industry, it puts forward more stringent requirements for 5G and MEC serving vertical industries, which has become more and more complex, and some problems not considered in the early stage have also been exposed. This article first introduces the research progress of Slice, the slice technical requirements and definitions in relevant standard organizations, and then analyze the new problems occurred in current stage. Based on this, A new concept of MECApplicationSlice is proposed, and the relationship with 5G network slice is analyzed detailed. Finally its possible impact on ETSI MEC architecture are given.
