EVALUATION OF FUNCTIONALITY OF A LOW-ENERGY HOUSE CASE STUDY: LOW-ENERGY HOUSE OF THE CENTRE OF ECOLOGICAL ACTIVITIES SLUNAKOV (CZECH REPUBLIC)

Sustainable architecture is a frequently discussed topic, particularly with regard to energy efficiency of buildings. The aim of this case study is to contribute to these discussions based on the results of a three-year evaluation of the energy balance of a large low-energy house used for public purposes. The study deals with low-energy house named "Slunakov", which has two basic functions (an information centre for visitors of the protected landscape area and a regional environmental education centre). The building-energy concept of the low-energy house is based on the general principles of sustainable buildings.
