A generic hardware-accelerated OFDM system simulator

摘要
This paper presents a generic hardware-accelerated OFDM simulator. Firstly, a generic and reusable OFDM system simulator is proposed. The simulator, implemented with Matlab, supports several channel models and. channel estimation techniques. Secondly, the execution time of the proposed simulator is optimized. For this purpose, the simulator is implemented on a FPGA platform by means of Celoxica's Handel-C to FPGA methodology. Our experimental results show that the generic OFDM simulator provides accurate results and that the hardware-accelerated simulator is up to 7 times faster than the pure software Matlab.
