摘要
High penetration of intermittent renewable generation may impose supply-demand mismatch in real time operation due to day-ahead forecast errors. This results in increase of cycling from conventional generating unit fleet there by cost of generation increases. To address the issue, this paper presents a MILP based 2-step security constrained scheduling problem considering Day-ahead hourly scheduling and intra hour re-dispatch. Further, benefits of using Energy Storage Systems for balancing and reserve services are evaluated. Effectiveness of proposed model is studied on LEEE-118 test system.
