摘要
The following paper presents a new eight-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) for front transverse applications. Compared to current six and seven-speed transmissions, it permits better map conversion of the combustion engine and makes a crucial contribution to further fuel and emission savings, particularly for compact and standard-sized cars. Additional savings can also be gained from the optional integration of an efficiency-optimized electric motor mounted in the input-side clutch module. Together with the specific structural advantages, the overall transmission efficiency is improved by a mechatronic unit that is controlled on demand, with a twin-pump system. In the interests of higher volumes and lower development and production costs, a modular transmission can be derived from this system to offer both an eight and a nine-speed version [1] and warranting scalable hybridization.
