摘要
In this paper, the parallelization of the Fault Positions Method for the stochastic assessment of voltage sags is presented. Using the GNU/Linux operating system, an algorithm was written in C programming language which exploits multi-thread programming by including functions defined by the POSIX threads header and library, in order to perform parallel calculations. A comparative analysis of the parallelized Fault Positions Method with respect to the traditional method is presented by analyzing a small 5-bus test system and the IEEE 118-bus test system. Results of case studies demonstrate the proper operation of the parallelized Fault Positions Method and the reduction in required computational time.
