Cavitation effect on the detonation front structure in homogeneous explosives

摘要
Peculiarities of detonation in dilute liquid explosives are discussed. It is shown that a pulsating detonation mode can arise due to cavitation disturbing the concentration and temperature equilibrium of the nitromethane-acetone system, which entails incomplete reaction of part of the explosive material even when the incident wave interacts with a rigid wall.
