摘要
The main objective of this study is to identify the potential impact of the gender diversity on the Romanian banking system performances. In this regard, a study was conducted to investigate the potential influence of women as the members of theboards of the Romanian banks on the banking financial performances, which are appreciated in terms of the following indicators: Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), the total assets and the total loans. As a result, in this article, by conducting an empirical research, the authors propose to provide reasoned answers to the question: "To what extent can the gender diversity influence the Romanian banking system performances?" The used research methodology is predominantly quantitative, based on a deductive statistical analysis, testing and identifying cause-effect connections, assessing their degree of significance. The research shows that even though there is a direct relationship between gender diversity and the financial performance of the Romanian banking system, it cannot be considered as significant.
