Effect of thermal pretreatment conditions on the properties of a cobalt catalyst in hydrocarbon synthesis from CO and H2

摘要
The effect of the conditions of the thermal pretreatment of a cobalt catalyst based on zeolite beta (Co/H beta) on the synthesis of hydrocarbons from CO and H-2 was studied. The physicochemical and catalytic properties of Co/H beta samples were studied and the synthesis products were analyzed in order to determine the most favorable regime for the thermal treatment of this catalytic system. It was found that double calcination at 250A degrees C was an optimum temperature regime. It is likely that a large amount of catalytic centers for polymerization was formed on the surface of the catalytic system under these conditions.
