Triphenylphosphine dibromide: A useful reagent for conversion of aldoximes into nitriles

摘要
A simple and convenient method for the synthesis of nitriles by dehydration of aldoximes has been developed using triphenylphosphine dibromide in acetonitrile at room temperature. A variety of aromatic and heteroaromatic aldoximes are converted into the corresponding nitriles in high yields. (C) 2012 Production and hosting by Elsevier B.V. on behalf of King Saud University.
