摘要
This paper deals with the replacement of linear reactors, which are often used for reactive compensation on EHV long transmission lines by naturally saturated reactors, Besides a steady-state, smoother voltage control that such a change brings, the chief concern is to release the transmission line's entire capacity to load supply. EMTP-ATP simulation results for a specific application of naturally saturated reactors at CHESF's 500 W power grid are shown in order to justify this proposal. The reactor's mathematical model is also described in this paper as well as the methodology used to determine the set of the model's parameters.
