Optimizing server I/O for multimedia presentations

摘要
In this paper, we propose a buffer management policy that plans buffer sharing between multimedia presentations. Our experimental results, which are based on realistic distributions, show that the proposed approach can lead to a gain in storage bandwidth of over 15%.
