摘要：
Eastern equine encephalitis virus (EEEV) is a rare arbovirus that is transmitted to humans by mosquitos. In the United States, approximately 8 cases of EEEV are reported each year, with a recent outlier of 38 reported cases in 2019. This update is a review of the current data and recommendations for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of EEEV to help the nurse practitioner prepare for ongoing and potential increases in cases.
