摘要
North East Java Basin has several carbonate reservoir which still productive. This study area is one of carbonate rock case studies, which can be identified from well and seismic data. The aim of this study is to investigate the failure of exploration wells in this area were found as dry well and to make a new recommendation for prospect area in terms of seismic facies analysis. The carbonate facies subsurface analysis was done by using 2D seismic data, and well data. This study is conducted integrating geological and geophysical method for evaluating carbonate reservoir in Ngimbang Formation so we can get another prospect of carbonate reservoir in the mounded area and narrow the prospect carbonates reservoir within the study area. Carbonate in study area affected by structure aggradation in the northern part and prograding unit to the south. Facies mapping of the Ngimbang formation as presented in the study area suggested that the facies distribution is not as important as fault intensity to control the reservoir quality. Our analyses conclude that no early migration of hydrocarbon and caused the porosity decreased significantly. From this point of view, the area of interest is the area where fault intensity is high.
