摘要
Since 2012, hospitals have spent 37% percent of their budgets on modernization, renovation, and new construction projects. A major cost driver for this spending is the inflexibility of current headwall systems: the central hub for patient monitoring, communications, and equipment [1]. There is a pressing demand for a modern and versatile all-in-one device that provides medical staff with the essential tools for a wide range of patient care requirements including clinical care, communications, and links to the built environment. By collaborating with Genesis Planning and Modular Services, both industry leaders in healthcare services, Integrated Headwall Systems (IHS) was able to produce their Hybrid "H" Design Headwall. This product optimizes all needs from low to high acuity situations, which gives it unparalleled flexibility as a living, breathing system. By using both technical and practical resources, IHS has produced a highly adaptable headwall that can be used in current and future healthcare facilities.
