Mean-field theory of hot sandpiles

摘要：
We introduce a temperaturelike parameter T in a mean-field theory of sandpiles. We show that, in contrast with evolution and growth models, self-organized criticality in sandpiles exists at all T<infinity with exponents that do not depend on the temperature. We provide an explanation for the difference in the behavior of sandpiles and the other models.
