Influence of lubricant and operating conditions on the wear characteristics of gear wheels

摘要
Based on the results of DGMK*-Research-Project 377 (1992), the objective of this research project was the development of a gear lubricant wear test for standardization. The test conditions have been derived from the result of the investigation on running-in and subsequent continued running, in which the influence of speed, temperature and the sequence of operating conditions was examined for various lubricant types. The test conditions and the sequence of the wear test C/0,05/90;120/12 are fixed. Under these test conditions The repeatability was shown to be good. the rest method is a proposal for standardization. It is shown how the measured values can be introduced into an existing calculation method to estimate wear of gears in practical systems.
