IMAGE DIAGNOSIS TRAINING IN ENDODONTICS

Bibliographic review of CBCT's application efectiveness in Endodontics. Use of CBCT (Cone Beam Computer Tomography) in Endodontics should be limited to the asessment and treatment of complex endodontic conditions, specially when conventional radiology (periapical radiography or panoramic) does not apport the clinician enough information to establish a concludent diagnosis. Most authors conclude that these data apport a valuable education implement, which can be used with students as well as with patients, specially in complex diagnosis clinical cases. Training in 3D diagnosis should be included in dental curricula.
