摘要
Some changes in the vegetation in the Mt. Etna territory, caused by environmental changes, are described. As the Etna is an active volcano, the environmental factors arising from the volcanic activity play an extremely important role. From the data given, which refer to various periods, it can be seen that the changes in the vegetation include the disappearance of some plant communities, the reduction of the distribution range of others and the appearance of new forms of vegetation in recently formed environments.
