In this paper, we will take a look at Salem elements dealing with formal power series on F-q, where F-q is a finite field. Our main result, presents a criteria for an element to be the smallest Salem element (SSE) via an order extending a given order in F-q. Moreover, we provide the CFE of the (SSE) for each n.
