摘要
Communities - the historic product of China's socialist market economic development and social restructuring and the by-product of modern urban management innovation and micro-operational mechanism re-engineering - have flourished However, there are still divergent opinions within the field of practice and the field of theory. The paper aims at the study of the gap between theory and practice in the field of urban community management and a strategy formulation for system innovation of China's urban community management from the perspectives of organizational system, safeguard mechanism and performance evaluations. Implications of these findings and suggestions for future research are provided at the end of this paper.
