摘要
Variations in the radial distribution, energy density, and ion composition of particle populations in the ring current and near-Earth plasma sheet of the magnetotail have been analyzed. The analysis is based on the AMPTE/CCE satellite data on the space-time distribution of O+ and H+ ions during the moderate-intensity (Dst(min) similar to -120 nT) magnetic storm of November 23-27, 1986. The features revealed in the O+ and H+ energy-density variations in the regions of the ring current and near-Earth plasma sheet of the magnetotail are discussed for the magnetically quiet period and the magnetic storm phases, including the substorm-type magnetic disturbance.
