The Work of Itinerant Teachers in the Socio-Educational Inclusion of Students with Special Educational Needs: Experiences from a Research Project

摘要
Itinerary and support teachers and the hospital classrooms constitute ways of delivering education of the Special Education System in Cuba, which stands on the principle that every child, adolescent and young has the right to a quality education. To answer the need of perfecting and upgrading the performance of the professionals delivering it, the project "Didactic-methodological system aimed at the perfection of educative attention in the modes of itinerary and hospital attention" was organized, including professors of the University, methodologists, logopedians, CDO staff and a group of professionals that perform this task at the Villa Clara Province. Document analysis, interviews and participant observation allowed to determine the needs and potential of said professionals and place a series of actions with their active participation. The main results obtained at the research are related with teaching materials, methodological and scientific information that allow to offer quality educative attention to the wide variety of students with special educative needs under this kind of attention and to favor their social and educative inclusion.
