摘要：

The article presents an analysis of the understanding of the concepts of environmental education of students of Elementary Education II in the regular modalities and Youth and Adult Education of two state schools of the city of Paranagua, PR. The research was carried out through questionnaires and Analysis Units were defined from the use of Content Analysis. The analysis of students' responses was carried out through the Toulmin Arguments Pattern- TAP, which was chosen due to the characteristics of the answers obtained. The outcomes showed that the lack of contextualization on the environmental issue, the economic system, the consumption, and the production of trash, without linking with a totality, still exist in a large part of the students.
