摘要
In this communication design and performance of a stacked elliptical patch antenna with slots is proposed to achieve broadband performance. The structure has two FR-4 substrates separated by a foam material having 2 mm thickness. The simulation analysis is carried out by using IE3D software. The feed location, dimensions of slots and thickness of air gap were optimized to attain best performance. The impedance bandwidth of proposed antenna is 29.03% and axial ratio bandwidth of 5.11%. The gain of proposed antenna is close to 6dBi and is almost constant in the desired frequency range. The radiation patterns within bandwidth are almost identical in shape.
