摘要
In this work glassy melt spun ribbons of Zr55Cu30Al10Ni5 alloy were consolidated by severe plastic deformation (SPD). The severe plastic torsion straining technique was used to produce disk-like samples, which were analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The samples were fully amorphous after consolidation according to XRD and DSC results. No differences were found regarding glass transition temperature, T-g, or crystallization temperature, T-x, in comparison with the starting amorphous ribbons. SEM observations indicated evidences of plastic deformation as well as a good welding and consolidation of the ribbons.
