摘要
Due to the requirements of the machine equipments, the main structure of conventional island is irregular in mass and stiffness. It is worth noting that the essential purpose of the main structure design is to prevent serious damage of important equipments and reduce the economy losses under earthquakes. Performance-based method is introduced to the seismic design of this structure for the first time. Based on elastic analysis under frequent and fortification earthquakes, inelastic time history analysis under severe earthquake is carried out with PERFORM-3D using the fiber model. Deformation performance indexes of components are proposed in this paper based on ASCe-41 and FEMA356. Some suggestions are given for the structural seismic design.
