An architecture of sensitive solid-core and liquid-core optical waveguides are integrated with a pneumatic valve array on a single optofluidic platform to enable specific capture, labeling and detection of single nucleic acid strands using barcode fluorescence reporters. (c) 2019 The Author(s)
