Synthesis and characterization of magnetic organic conductors based on co-ordination complexes

摘要
Conducting coordination metal complexes of benzidine with Fe(III), Co(II) and Ni(II) have been synthesized. They have been characterized by analytical data, IR spectral data, electrical and magnetic measurements. These complexes are found to be paramagnetic in nature with low electrical conductivities (10(-9) Scm(-1)). The electrical conductivities of these complexes have been improved several orders (10(-5) Scm(-1)) on exposure to iodine vapours.
