摘要
Epoxy-alumina nanocomposites are prepared with different weight percentage (wt%) to understand its electrical and mechanical properties. surface potential decay rate of the material and the trap depth shows inverse correlation. Increase in dielectric constant and loss tangent is observed on addition of gamma-alumina to the epoxy resin. Addition of gamma-alumina nanoparticles shows reduced space charge accumulation. DMA studies indicate that the gamma-alumina epoxy nanocomposites have enhanced storage modulus, glass transition temperature, and activation energy.
