New results on transient neutron-star low-mass X-ray binaries in quiescence

摘要
We review the main observational properties of neutron star low mass transients in quiescence. We first survey the discoveries of BeppoSAX. We then focus on recent discoveries by Chandra and XMM-Newton, with special emphasis on the detection of the quiescent counterpart of SAX J1808.4-3658 and the study of variability in the quiescent state.
