摘要
Based on the model of the geomechanical state of a coal massif hosting a coal seam with a brittle layer and mineworks, as well as ideas developed by S.A. Khristianovich about gas-dynamic processes during the evolution of coal seams, a solution to the problem of coal and gas outburst from the marginal part of the formation is constructed. Conditions are formulated for the occurrence of gas-dynamic phenomena manifesting themselves, first, by the formation of a main crack in a seam with free methane and, then, by the formation of a crushing wave in it, followed by the outburst of a plug and a mixture of crushed coal and gas into the mine.
