摘要
This paper presents an approach to student modelling in the context of a simulation-based ITS (lntelligent Tutoring System) for operational skill training, the ATEEG system [1]. The student model is composed of (a) task performance measures in context and (b) cognitive skill assessment methods, based on cognitive principles for operational skill training. The structure of this model is a hi-dimensional overlay where the tasks and the situation characteristics are the two axes. The skill assessment methods reason about the trend of performance according to elements of the situation, and are used in the evaluation of the expertise. Examples are given in the domain of Air Traffic Control simulation training for conflict detection and resolution skills.
