摘要
Efficiency of the predatory mite Amblyseius cucumeris in control of the strawberry mite Phytonemus pallidus was studied during June-July 1999 on 3-year old field-grown strawberry on two strawberry cultivars Induka and Senga Sengana. Despite relatively high initial density of the strawberry mite, A. cucumeris gave satisfactory control of P. pallidus. In 23 days after a single release of A. cucumeris at ratio predator: prey 1: 10, its biological efficiency reached 60.5% in Induka test plots and 93.8% in Senga Sengana test plots.
