A efficient handoff method to support real-time services in Mobile IP environment

摘要
It is difficult that Mobile host reserves route for Real-time Services using cache renewal process caused by frequent registration in Mobile IP environment. Transmission delay time and blocking probability of datagram are increased by a result from frequent change of transmission path, for instance frequent handoff. Therefore, for the purpose of continuous real-time Service' support in case that Agent for Mobile host is changed, it must be required that new path is established between MN and Agent as fast as possible This paper proposes efficient handoff processing method that supports Real-time Services in wireless mobile communication environment using RSVP and Mobile IP.
