Real-time services using RSVP on Mobile IP in wireless environment

摘要
Mobile IP built on the Internet Protocol, is to make mobility transparent to applications and higher level protocols. There is a well-known problem with Mobile IP, Triangle Routing. The asymmetrical routing incurs overhead in communication and squander network resources. Also, it will result in that RSVP on Mobile IP would not be able to reserve network resources for mobile hosts. In this research, we propose a protocol named Mobile Node Location Advertisement (MNLA), which is an extension to Mobile IP, to enhance the capability of real-time communication and to integrate RSVP into Mobile IP.
