The Application of Mobile Learning in College Students' Vocabulary Acquisition

The approaching of digital era not only drives scientific and technological development at a high speed but also provides much convenience to culture and education. The learning resources and learning modes for people turns to be increasingly plentiful. Knowledge acquiring is not confined to textbooks in traditional class. Mobile learning is the combination of technology and education. The integration of mobile learning and vocabulary acquisition highly boost the effect and efficiency of word learning. Therefore, the present study first states the definitions and characteristics of mobile learning, and then concludes some previous studies about vocabulary acquisition and mobile learning. Next, the study designs a questionnaire to obtain real information about college students' learning habits and preferences on mobile vocabulary acquisition. According to the data collected, a mobile vocabulary acquisition mode is constructed, combining in-class teaching and out-class activity. Finally, it provides some appropriate suggestions.
