摘要：

Professor Huang Yuanshen first put forward the concept of absence of critical thinking skill in 1998. This paper mainly states the basic theories of critical thinking skill. Then, it explains the bad effects of the absence of critical thinking skill in English writing. Lastly, it analyses the factors of causing the absence of critical thinking skills and brings up the measures of overcoming the absence of critical thinking skill.
