摘要：
The market share of railway transportation enterprises continues to decline, which doesn't fit the conditions of China as a developing country. This thesis makes a comprehensive evaluation on Chinese railway transportation enterprises' operations from 1988 to 1997, and describes the fundamental developments and trends. The main factors affecting these enterprises' operations are analyzed to provide a theoretic basis for enhancing their competitive power.
