The kinetics of complete oxidation of butanol over a platinum/alumina AP-64 catalyst is studied by the thermokinetic and the flow-circulation methods. The reaction rate order with respect to butanol found by the flow-circulation method and obtained from thermokinetic measurements 0.39 and 0.45 (the average value), respectively. The activation energy of the reaction determined by the flow-circulation and thermokinetic methods is 125 and 140 kJ/mol, respectively.
