摘要
Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were employed for the removal of toxic hexavalent chromium ions (Cr6+) from aqueous solution. The adsorption capacity of Cr6+ on CNTs increased with an increase in the concentration of Cr6+, and then reach a plateau between 300-700 mg/L of Cr6+; and the capacity was also significantly affected by the pH value of the solution between 2 and 7, and little change was observed above pH value of 7. By comparison, CNTs showed higher adsorption capacity of Cr6+ than the commercial activated carbon under the same experimental conditions.
