Large-Scale Vehicle Routing Scenarios Based on Pollutant Emissions

摘要
This paper describes simulation-based investigations of route choice based on pollutant emissions. A microscopic simulation enhanced by a pollutant emissions model was used to evaluate whether a vehicle's pollutant emissions can be used as an edge weight during route computation and which effects can be observed in such cases. For each of the pollutants CO, CO2, NOx, PMx, and HC and for the fuel consumption, a dynamic user assignment has been performed. The investigations have been performed twice using two scenarios of different size. Large discrepancies for route computation using pollutants have been observed when comparing inner city and suburban traffic networks.
