摘要
The present article seeks to analyze the main theories on international migration that help to understand the Mexican-United States migration circuit; within the bilateral relationship, the positive and negative aspects of sending remittances to both countries. The assumptions of the neoclassical proposals on migration are discussed, including the Borjas model, based on the differentiation of factors of production and wages; in this article, it is proposed to understand that the binational relationship between Mexico and the United States has been modified to the extent that both economies complement each other and register domestic changes by age group, gender and labor specialization. Migration analysis from the economic point of view, should be added the study of the security / insecurity conditions of migrants, the possibilities of crisis in both countries and the symbolic constructions on the ideal lifestyles of migrants and families in a transnational condition.
