Closed-form capacity and outage probability expressions for orthogonal space-time block codes

摘要
Space-time block coding is a modulation scheme recently discovered for the transmit antenna diversity to combat effects in wireless fading channels. In this paper, using Meijer's G function, we give the Closed-Form capacity expressions of Orthogonal Space-Time Block Codes (OSTBCs) over usual uncorrelated fading channel (Nakagami- m, Ricean) and correlated Rayleigh fading channel. The Closed-Form capacity expression of OSTBCs over Nakagami- in fading channels with keyhole is also presented. Outage probability is an important and relevant performance measure in the design of wireless communication systems to operate in a fading environment. We can derive simple closed-form outage probability expressions over the above cases. These formulas are simply expressed.
