Research on WDM in distributed fiber temperature sensor

摘要
Wavelength Division Multiplexer (WDM) is widely used in optical fiber communication system. It can also be used in a distributed fiber temperature sensor nowadays. The characters of WDM especially the isolation and insert loss play an important role in it. Tn this paper, the WDM application on the temperature sensor is given. The isolation and the insertion loss of WDM are discussed. The analysis and calculation results show that in order to obtain the accuracy of temperature less than 0.1K, the isolation of WDM must be less than-40dB.
