摘要
Results of electron backscatter diffraction and X-ray diffraction study on a microstructure, long range order, and texture evolution upon a differential speed rolling (DSR) of Zr and B doped Ni3Al-based intermetallic alloy, are shown in the paper. The material is subjected to a 2-pass cold rolling to the final thickness reduction of 50% under following upper to lower roll speed ratio R values: R=1 (the equal speed rolling), R=2, R=3, and R=4 (the DSR). Obtained results supported by literature data allows concluding that an introduction of the rolls speed asymmetry leads to a higher accumulated strain facilitating a strain induced disordering of L1(2) superlattice. This transformation is assisted by a changeover of a crystallographic texture type; indirectly indicating on a possible activation of mechanical twinning.
