Characteristics of temperature and velocity distribution of horizontal buoyant jet

摘要
The behavior of a negatively buoyant jet discharged horizontally in an unstratified environment was studied experimentally to understand the diffusion process of cold discharged water from the energy plant or the ocean nutrient enhancer TAKUMI (Bando et al., 2004). This study especially focused on the dependency of the internal Froude number and the characteristics of the fluctuating temperature. As a result, the trajectory of a jet normalized by specific length scale is independent of the internal Fluid number, Fr, and the vertical distribution of the intensity has an asymmetrical profile.
