摘要
Current wayfinding simulation systems take little account of the architectural information in the built environment, which indicates that, there is an underestimation of the influence of architectural information on individual's wayfinding behaviour. In the presented studies, a vision-based simulation system is introduced. In this simulation system, an agent is designed to navigate through virtual built environments with only architectural information provided. The decision made by our agent upon the egress in each room is influenced by several factors, such as the architectural features in the current room, the searching strategy, and the gender of the way-finder. Furthermore, the agent's familiarity of the virtual built environment has certain effect on its egress choice.
